User Data Deletion Instructions

1. Overview

Trip Mazer AI is an AI-powered travel planning assistant that helps you plan, book, and manage your trips. We respect your privacy and give you control over your personal data.

You can request deletion of personal data associated with your Trip Mazer account at any time, including accounts created via Facebook Login or other social authentication providers.

2. Delete Your Trip Mazer Account (Preferred Method)

If available, you can delete your account directly from within the app:

Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account

This action permanently deletes your Trip Mazer account and all associated data. This cannot be undone.

3. Request Deletion by Email

You can also request data deletion by contacting us directly:

  1. Send an email to support@tripmazer.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  3. Include in your email:
    • The email address associated with your Trip Mazer account
    • Mention if you signed up using Facebook Login (optional but helpful)
    • A clear request to delete your account and data

We may verify your identity before processing deletion requests to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

4. Remove Trip Mazer from Facebook (Optional)

If you signed up using Facebook Login, you can also remove Trip Mazer from your Facebook account:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings
  2. Navigate to Apps and Websites
  3. Find "Trip Mazer AI" in the list
  4. Click Remove

⚠️ Important: Removing Trip Mazer from Facebook prevents future Facebook sign-ins but does not automatically delete your Trip Mazer account data. To fully delete your data, you must also request deletion using the methods above.

5. What Data We Delete

When you request account deletion, we remove the following data:

  • Account identifiers (email address, name)
  • Authentication identifiers (Supabase user ID, OAuth provider identifiers)
  • Travel preferences and onboarding persona answers
  • Trip conversations, itineraries, and budgets saved in Trip Mazer
  • Support messages and communication history (if applicable)

6. Timeline

We aim to complete data deletion requests within 30 days of receiving and verifying your request.

In some cases, we may be required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backup systems may retain data briefly before being overwritten on a rolling basis.
